C.T. HSU, FAIA WAS PRESENTED WITH THE LIBERTY AWARD AT THE 24TH ANNUAL CHINESE AMERICAN SCHOLAR & PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION OF FLORIDA (CASPAF) & 5TH ANNUAL TAIWAN FLORIDA HIGHER EDUCATION (TFHE) CONFERENCES

ORLANDO, Fla. (September 4, 2013) – C.T. Hsu + Associates (CTH+A) announced today that C.T. Hsu, FAIA was presented with the Liberty Award at the 24th Annual Chinese American Scholar and Professionals Association of Florida (CASPAF) Conference on August 25th at Saint Thomas University in Miami Gardens.

Dr. Ed H. Moore, Ph.D, the President of the Independent Colleges & Universities of Florida (ICUF), presented C.T. Hsu, the President of CASPAF, with the Liberty Award for his contributions in bridging the distance between the U.S. and Taiwan by advancing higher education collaborations resulting in improved lives for everyone involved.

Since revamping the CASPAF organization in 2009, C.T. Hsu’s goal has been to bring together U.S. scholars, professionals, and industries to expand the higher education partnerships through future education, research, and economic development opportunities. This platform has been used to discover the best practices and emerging trends in technology, culture, and global business. This year’s efforts resulted in a joint memorandum of understanding agreement between the Southern Taiwan Science Park, located in Tainan City, Taiwan, R.O.C, and the Central Florida Research Park, located in Orange County, Florida.

“As a Chinese American who immigrated to the U.S. in 1974 and who has embraced my heritage by taking an active role in supporting the educational and economic excellence of my community, I am very humbled and grateful to be recognized for this award”, said C.T. Hsu, President of C.T. Hsu + Associates, P.A. and President of CASPAF.

ICUF (www.icuf.org) is a diverse association of 31 private, not-for-profit, educational institutions all based in Florida and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS).
